In 1952, a group of believers from Salem First Baptist Church had a vision to plant a church in South Salem. Utilizing resources from their physical church building, they built the first church building at the corner of Madrona Ave and Liberty Street (1962).
Since that first Sunday, God has used Salem Heights Church as a ‘well of living water’ where families and individuals draw near to worship, fellowship, and hear the proclamation of God’s Word.
75 years later this well continues to provide living water. Those who drink deeply from God’s Word are experiencing the satisfied life that only God provides.
In this new season, we desire to tend to this well so that the overflow can continue to impact this community today, and for generations to come.
As our church family continues to grow, we realize the need to expand our current church facilities to make space for all who desire to draw near and drink deep from God’s Word.
The following projects will allow our church to fulfill God’s vision for Salem Heights Church:
God has expanded our heart for the city of Salem. In addition to meeting the current needs of our church family, we desire to add space for our growing discipleship and training ministries. This new ministry center will enable us to increase access to three areas of ministry.
